open hobo comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Version 0.0.3 is now ready. Improvements will come so check back and update to new versions in future. WARNING this is open source and transparent so you can trust it but that means that during the initial years it may be less secure than in later years - as security will be something we have to develop together. So make sure you set yourself up to take backups of the key data ALL the time. Whenever you publish, keep a backup of what you have just added. It's not hard to do, if you need help email me at firstname.lastname@example.org [[Download link: http://grid.tvhobo.com/openhobo.0.0.3.tar.gz]] Upload a grid to your website. Use it to: (a) prove facts, (b) draw big audiences. The software is tiny, simple, transparent and open source. Open it up and have a look. (contains readme.txt file which explains how to install it inside about 90 seconds and be up and running) INSTRUCTIONS Place files from cgi-bin folder into a folder named cgi-bin in your hosting account (usually the cgi-bin folder is in the html folder). Place files from html folder into your hosting account's main html folder (for the domain you want to run it on). If there are any problems make sure that the public can read and execute the perl scripts cgi-bin/guest.pl and cgi-bin/hobify.pl Your passkey's default setting is: whambamthankyoumaam It should be changed. Hackers will always try that default first, in case you are easy prey. Change it inside the file cgi-bin/passkey.txt to anything you want. Requirements: hosting which can run php and perl-cgi (If you are a skilled programmer, please alter and tweak the authentication method to suit yourself and to make it secure in your own unique way) (Please note that open hobo is public property and it is yours to take apart and use as you wish, but the responsibility is 100% on you, for securing it, for making good use of it, for giving of yourself to humanity with it) Scroll down for a suggested "reading list".
WARNING: The clean and clear structure of open hobo causes readers/audiences to flow naturally to your website in abundance.
Only install it if you are happy to see readers to flow in to your pages.
There are some sources which are, at least at the outset, pillarlike in the way they provide the pathway to much data which stands up to heavy challenging and fact checking. These sources, in no particular order, include but are not restricted to these main "core" pillars, whose output will continue to be studied for the grid for what currently is expected to be many more years: Fawzia Afzal-Khan The Prodigy Jennifer Loewenstein Viviane Mahieux Karim Makdisi Roger Annis Sonia Mitralias Neve Gordon Zoe Konstantopoulou Sylvia C. They have done what they do so that we can do the same and find out more and evolve more. They are just a starting block, and though there are many more names to be added to that list, you should see yourself as being on probation to be on the list, and write as though you want to be, in my opinion.
